Introducing Rare Bikes - The Italian Job

We are proud to officially unveil Rare Bikes - The Italian Job, the latest publication from Corsa Classic, a journey through some of the rarest, most innovative and remarkable creations in Italian cycling history. From revolutionary engineering experiments to unconventional geometries and exceptional craftsmanship, this new book celebrates a uniquely Italian approach to designing and building racing bicycles.

Extraordinary bicycles. Extraordinary stories.

With over 300 photographs, Rare Bikes explores the stories behind some of the most fascinating creations in cycling history. From the refined craftsmanship of the 1950s to the radical aerodynamic experiments of the 1980s, the book brings together extraordinary machines by Bianchi, Bottecchia, Carlà, Cinelli, Colnago, Confente, De Rosa, Freschi, Galmozzi, Masi, Moser, RiGi, Rossin, Stelbel, Telavio and Trecià.

Each chapter combines historical research, technical descriptions, builder biographies and detailed photography, revealing the ideas, innovations and personalities behind these remarkable bicycles. It was never simply about building bicycles, but about a uniquely Italian way of imagining, interpreting and reinventing them. This was The Italian Job!

Two editions!

Rare Bikes will be released in two editions, each offering a different way to experience and celebrate this remarkable heritage.

Collector's Edition - €160

Strictly limited to 100 individually numbered and signed copies, the Collector's Edition is presented in an exclusive 22x22 cm hardcover format. Its defining feature is an original cover artwork by Japanese artist Kosuke Masuda, created specifically for this publication. Entitled Utsuroi - Divenire (2026), the artwork was created using traditional sumi ink on washi paper. Inspired by the Rossin Futura CX featured in the book, it brings together Japanese artistic tradition and Italian bicycle design. Created exclusively for the Collector's Edition, the artwork will never be reproduced or made available as a separate edition. Each copy is individually numbered and signed by author Andrea Bonfanti, making it a special addition to any collection dedicated to cycling history, art and design.

Open Edition - €45

The Open Edition features approximately 250 pages in a 20×20 cm softcover format with French flaps, bringing together all bicycles in a beautifully designed volume. Published in English and Italian, it offers collectors and enthusiasts worldwide an opportunity to explore these extraordinary stories.
