About

A passion for classic bicycles. A dedication to their culture and design.

Corsa Classic was founded in Milan in 2022 by Andrea Bonfanti, a passionate collector, researcher and enthusiast of classic bicycles. But the story began more than a decade earlier. Around 2010, at the height of the fixed-gear movement, Andrea became fascinated by the minimalist design and timeless aesthetics of these machines. What started as an interest in contemporary fixed-gear bicycles quickly evolved into a passion for vintage track bikes and, eventually, classic road racing bicycles.

A turning point came with the discovery of his first De Rosa. Driven by curiosity and an almost investigative approach to collecting, Andrea began researching the history of the legendary Italian framebuilder, gradually assembling bicycles representing different periods of its production. Years of studying frames, components, construction details and original documentation allowed him to reconstruct previously undocumented information and develop a method for identifying and dating historic De Rosa bicycles. Over time, several seemingly unrelated interests began to come together: a passion for cycling history, a self-taught background in graphic design and photography, and an entrepreneurial mindset developed through an international corporate career.

The result was Classic De Rosa, Andrea's first self-published book. Conceived, researched, photographed and designed independently, it brought together years of collecting and historical investigation into a single publication. Its enthusiastic reception revealed something important: while classic cars enjoyed an established world of beautifully produced books, dedicated publications and prestigious collections, the history of classic bicycles remained comparatively overlooked.

Corsa Classic was born to help change that.

The ambition was not simply to publish books, but to bring classic bicycles to a wider audience, making their history, engineering and design relevant and appealing to a new generation. To celebrate these machines not only as objects of sporting heritage, but also as extraordinary examples of industrial design, craftsmanship and human ingenuity. That same vision inspired the creation of Corsa Classic's collection of illustrated bicycle brand maps. Beginning with Italy and expanding to France, the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan, each map celebrates the rich cycling heritage of a country through hundreds of carefully researched and individually recreated historic brand logos.

As the project grew, so did the opportunity to collaborate with collectors, historians, photographers and enthusiasts around the world. From travelling to Japan to research the Campagnolo Collection to documenting extraordinary private bicycle collections, every new publication has become an opportunity to discover untold stories, preserve valuable knowledge and connect people who share the same passion.

Today, Corsa Classic is an independent publishing house based in Milan, with more than 10,000 copies sold worldwide. While most of its titles are conceived and authored by its founder, the company welcomes new ideas, collaborations and publishing projects that contribute to preserving and celebrating cycling history. Research, photography, graphic design and editorial development are at the heart of its work, with a strong commitment to keeping production in Italy. Every Corsa Classic publication is conceived, designed and printed in Italy, combining historical accuracy with uncompromising attention to detail and production quality.

Our mission remains unchanged: making classic bicycles cool again.
